Helping chef to claim award

We are here to help, and so is our Burren Smoked Salmon.

Last December, at the time of the beautiful and atmospheric Christmas market at the Doonbeg Lodge, chef Wade Murphy received an award presented by Atlantic Way Food at a ceremony in the hotel, in front of a roaring fire and accompanied by mulled wine and canapees.

Wade created a dish with our Burren Smoked Salmon and local crab meat from Sexton’s in Doonbeg. He excelled especially in the presentation of the dish and thus won over the jury.

In the photo you can see Karin Funke (Burren Smokehouse) with Wade Murphy (Doonbeg Lodgeand Cathal Sexton who provided the crab in the dish.
